1. DCAS Air Marshal Tejpal Singh: Today’s Battle Airspace Defined by Information Superiority, Split-second Decision-making

Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Tejpal Singh said that modern battle airspace is defined by information superiority, network-centric operations, and split-second decision-making rather than physical weapons alone at the CAPS and Indian Military Review Joint Seminar, in New Delhi.
He said the objective should be to complete the OODA cycle (Observe, Orient, Decide and Act) faster than an adversary. "The intention is to make our OODA loop shorter than that of the adversary so that we can decide and act before he can," Singh said, underlining the importance of gaining an information and decision-making advantage during combat.
2. Russia offers India 8 Su-57 5th Gen Fighters with Long-range R-77M Missiles

Russia has reportedly proposed transferring 8 Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jets, armed with long-range R-77M beyond-visual-range, air-to-air missiles, to India. This could potentially give the IAF an immediate fifth-generation combat capability, while the AMCA Programme, still remains under development.
This development could be significant since the Su-57 is Russia’s most advanced fifth-generation combat aircraft. This remains subject to negotiations and formal approvals, which will shape its final scope and timeline.
3. UAE Suspends All Trade & Commerce with Iran Indefinitely

UAE has suspended all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Iran until further notice. UAE Foreign Ministry Communications Director Afra Al Hameli said the decision aims to protect regional stability and maintain the integrity of the international financial system in accordance with international law and global standards.
The announcement followed the UAE stating its air defence systems detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the Gulf.
4. India Imposes Phased Ban on Import of 405 Defence Products

India has imposed a phased ban on the import of 405 defence items, including critical components, spares, sub-systems and raw materials for fighter jets, helicopters, warships, tanks, infantry combat vehicles and missile systems, in a fresh push to boost domestic production and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has notified sixth positive indigenisation list comprising of these 405 important items. Notified by the department of defence production (DDP), the list also includes 16 items of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and 389 items of defence public sector undertakings (DPSU).
