1. Indian Special Forces team participating in Exercise Flintlock-2026



An Indian Army Special Forces team is participating in Ex-Flintlock 2026, undertaking mentorship and training of Special Forces troops from West African nations in Counter-Insurgency and Counter-Terrorism tactics. The exercise, hosted by Côte d’Ivoire under the aegis of USAFRICOM, marks India’s first such participation in West Africa and reinforces its commitment to partnering with friendly countries in combating terrorism and insurgency.

2. Myanmar Air Force delegation visits Air Force Station Guwahati



A 15-member delegation from the Myanmar Air Force visited Air Force Station Guwahati from 21 to 23 April on an exchange programme focused on transport operations. Through structured interactions and facility visits, the delegation was briefed on flying operations, maintenance practices, and base infrastructure. The visit underscores growing bilateral cooperation and a shared commitment to enhanced professional engagement between the two Air Forces.

3. India–Japan Army-to-Army Staff Talks underway



The 8th India–Japan Army-to-Army Staff Talks (AAST) are being held from 22–24 April in Japan. Both sides held a productive exchange of views, reviewed ongoing defence cooperation measures, and outlined future engagements across diverse domains. They reaffirmed their commitment to a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific. The delegation also called on the Chief of Staff of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF).

4. Aerodata and Dynauton to collaborate on MALE and HALE UAVs



Aerodata AG and Dynauton (Dynamatic) have established a framework for strategic collaboration to develop unmanned airborne surveillance and reconnaissance solutions, including MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) and HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) UAVs. These systems are intended for specialised ISR missions in the Himalayas and the Indian Ocean Region.

5. RM Rajnath Singh invites German companies to produce in India



Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has invited German industry to co-develop and co-produce in India, particularly in niche technologies. Emphasising partnerships based on reliability and shared interests, he highlighted their importance amid shifting geopolitical alignments, supply chain disruptions, rapid technological change, and rising global uncertainty. He was addressing Indian and German defence industry leaders at the Defence Investor Summit in Munich on April 23, marking the final day of his maiden visit to Germany.
