1. Israel Ministry of Defence DG meets RM Rajnath Singh

Israel Ministry of Defence Director General (DG) Maj Gen (Retd) Amir Baram met Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on June 22. Discussions focused on strengthening India–Israel defence cooperation, with Israel reaffirming its commitment to expanding collaboration under the framework of the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership.
2. INS Udaygiri and INS Kavaratti dock in Vietnam

Indian Navy ships INS Udaygiri and INS Kavaratti, led by Rear Admiral Alok Ananda, YSM, Commander of the Eastern Fleet, docked at Ho Chi Minh City on June 22. INS Udaygiri is a Project 17A Nilgiri-class stealth guided-missile frigate, while INS Kavaratti is a Kamorta-class Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) corvette. The visit aims to promote professional exchanges and further strengthen maritime cooperation between India and Vietnam.
3. DoW notifies Congress of maintenance support for M777A2 howitzers and Apache helicopters operated by India

The Department of War (DoW) has notified Congress of its plan to provide India with defence articles and sustainment services worth $428 million for platforms operated by the Indian armed forces, including the M777A2 howitzer and Apache attack helicopters. The Indian Army operates 145 M777A2 howitzers, while the Army and Air Force together operate 28 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The package includes logistics support, personnel training, contractor engineering support, spare parts, and repairs for both platforms.
4. India and UAE in discussions for BrahMos missile deal

India is in discussions with the UAE for the sale of the BrahMos missile system, according to a Reuters report. BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile that was employed by India during Operation Sindoor in May 2025. The range and variant proposed for export to the UAE have not yet been disclosed. In addition, the UAE is reportedly discussing the procurement of the Akashteer system. Akashteer is an automated Air Defence Control and Reporting System that was used to intercept incoming drones and missiles during Operation Sindoor.
5. ICGS FPV arrives at its base port

Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Achal, the newly commissioned Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), arrived at its base port in Vadinar, North-West Region, on June 22, 2026. The vessel was commissioned on May 9 in Goa. The 51-metre-long FPV is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation, communication, and surveillance systems, and is designed for high-speed, sustained, and mission-critical maritime operations.
