1. Kalyani Group and Paramount Group unveil Simha

Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) and South African company Paramount, on June 16, unveiled Simha 4x4 at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, France. The Simha is a next-generation Light Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle. The vehicle is best suited for a mix of Urban Warfare and On and Off-Road Reconnaissance. Building on proven aggregates, its modular architecture allows easy upgrades, customisations, and modifications, enabling users to streamline and optimise their supply and MRO Lines.
2. Nibe Limited refutes claims of the Suryastra system

Nibe Limited has refuted claims questioning its Suryastra rocket launcher system, saying the platform meets all requirements of the Indian Army. The company strongly refuted the inaccurate and defamatory claims published in the recent article by Bharat Shakti. Nibe said the piece mischaracterises India's first 300 KM Universal Rocket Launching System, 'Suryastra', using the derogatory term 'Screwdriver giri'" and questions the integrity of the fast-track procurement process utilised by the Indian Army.
3. Ten bids submitted for 87 MALE UAVs for the Indian Air Force

Ten bids have been submitted for the procurement of 87 Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAVs for the Indian Air Force. The contract is worth Rs 30,000 crore. According to the ANI report, the bidders include HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited), Adani Defence and Aerospace, Solar Industries Limited, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), Larsen and Toubro and Raphae mPhibir.
4. Airbus and OCCAR sign a contract for A400M capability enhancement

Airbus Defence and Space has signed a contract with OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation), acting on behalf of the French Directorate General of Armaments (DGA), for the development of new capabilities for the A400M. These upgrades, known as the “Parallel Mission System” (PMS), aim to equip the French A400M with multi-mission capabilities in the fields of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR). The A400M is competing for the Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA).
5. France orders 5,000 FN Herstal LMGs

FN Herstal has received a major order for 5,000 EVOLYS machine guns and ammunition for the French Army, according to a post on X by Theo Francken, Belgian Minister of Defense and Foreign Trade. The EVOLYS is available in 5.56x45, 7.62x51 and 6.5mm Creedmoor. It weighs between 5.5 and 6 kg, depending on the calibre and without optics. The Evolys comes with a full-length top rail and a side-mounted self-correcting lateral feed system.
